Rally Together - More Than Just Pickleball

What makes Rally Together different is the experience behind the program.

Founder Mark Hine brings more than 20 years of coaching experience across boxing and AFL and is now taking this knowledge to pickleball.

Throughout his coaching career, he has helped people of all ages and abilities improve their fitness, confidence, resilience and performance.

Mark understands that success in any sport is built on strong foundations. The same skills that create successful athletes in boxing and AFL : balance, coordination, agility, reaction speed, teamwork, communication and mental toughness—also play a vital role in pickleball and everyday life.

This unique coaching background allows Rally Together to offer more than just pickleball sessions. Being a support worker also, Mark's Participants benefit from carefully designed activities that help improve:

  • Confidence and self-belief

  • Balance and coordination

  • Mobility and fitness

  • Social connection and teamwork

  • Focus and concentration

  • Physical and mental wellbeing

  • Independence and community participation

Whether supporting NDIS participants, older Australians or recreational and competitive players, Rally Together focuses on helping people become more active, connected and confident through enjoyable and inclusive programs.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun, social and easy-to-learn paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Played on a court approximately one-quarter the size of a tennis court, it is suitable for people of all ages, fitness levels and abilities.

Players use lightweight paddles and a specially designed plastic ball to rally over a low net. The smaller court size means less running than tennis, making the game easier on the joints while still providing excellent physical and mental benefits.

Most games are played as doubles (two players on each team), encouraging teamwork, communication and social connection. The rules are simple to learn, and many people are comfortably playing within their first session.

Games are typically played to 11 points and can be enjoyed casually with friends or at a more competitive level for those looking for a challenge. Whether you're aiming to improve your fitness, meet new people, build confidence or simply have fun, pickleball offers an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
